### The "Gods and Birds of Prey" Phase is over

For the last three weeks, we foolishly thought our clients wanted the horse. We’ve been suffering from a common start-up disease: Mythological Grandeur.

Naming a product is a dangerous game. It starts with "simplicity" and usually ends at 2:00 AM in a deep rabbit hole of domain names that sound more like 14-year-old Dungeons & Dragons characters than helpful SaaS tools.

We had 12 "finalists" on the whiteboard. Among them:

1. **OdinSent.com**: Because, obviously, the All-Father should be the one to tell you your checkout page is 404-ing. (Slightly dramatic? Yes.)
2. **Ravenix.com**: A mix of ravens and… electronics? It sounds cool until you realize no one can spell it on the first try.
3. **Falconis.com**: We wanted the "Bird of Prey" energy. I mostly just got a name that sounds like a budget airline.
4. **Cosmity.io**: This was for our "We're building a galactic empire" phase. It lasted about four hours.

## The Reality Check

After a healthy dose of reality, I killed the gods and the birds of prey. In the Gato Blanco ecosystem, simplicity wins every time.
